Iacono, Sipos help Calhoun rally for tie with Massapequa
Michelle Iacono scored her second goal from 25 yards with 10:42 left and Taylor Sipos added the tying goal off a feed from Kayla Cappuzzo less than a minute later as Calhoun overcame a 3-0 deficit to tie Massapequa, 3-3, in Nassau Conference AA-I girls soccer Wednesday.
Rosie DiMartino had two goals and keeper Katie Hatziyianis had eight saves, including a stop inside the box with seven minutes left, to preserve the tie for Massapequa. Valley Stream Central 1, Elmont 0: Yasmine Shaukat scored the winner off a pass from Jennifer Oliva with seven minutes left for Valley Stream Central in Conference AA-III. Tatyana Gregory made four saves in the win.
