Ingarozza leads Smithtown East's rally
Ryan Ingarozza scored 11 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter, including a three-point play with 1:30 left, as Smithtown East overcame an 11-point deficit for a 76-70 win Thursday over Centereach in a Suffolk League III boys basketball game.
Ingarozza's three-point play gave the Bulls a 65-64 lead. Kevin Schroeder and Alex Spinelli each hit four three-pointers and had 16 points for Smithtown East.
Nick Aurricchio added 10 points, including two three-pointers in the win. Dylan Valot led Centereach with 28 points. Copiague 68, Bellport 56: Sophomore Kevin Roberts had a career high 26 points and Frederick Millar scored 17 points and had six assists to lead Copiague in Suffolk League IV.Deer Park 89, West Babylon 56: Keith Williams scored 20 points, including the 1,000th of his career on a driving layup with 7:53 remaining in the third quarter for Deer Park in League IV. Williams has 1,014 points.
Bayport-Blue Point 54, Glenn 50: Connor Panzner had 19 points, including six in overtime, to lift Bayport-Blue Point in League VI. Dylan Adams added 15 points and tied the score in the final minute of regulation with a three-pointer to force overtime for BBP.Southampton 67, Babylon 64: Taylor Sanders fed Shaundell Fishburne for a three-pointer as time expired to win it for Southampton in League VII. Senior Scott Ricca scored a career-high 15 points as Southampton erased the 15-point fourth-quarter deficit.
Herricks 52, Carey 48: Ryan Gaitan made two free throws with 17 seconds remaining and Andrew Fellus (22 points, 5 rebounds) added two foul shots with three seconds left to lead Herricks in Nassau Conference AA-III.Wheatley 61, East Rockaway 60: Christian Hyon scored a basket with under a minute remaining to give Wheatley a 61-56 lead in Conference BC. Charlie Joyner scored 14 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and was named to the All-Tournament team. Shoreham-Wading River 54, Amityville 24: Jack Taddeo of Shoreham-Wading River pinned Nino Wong in 3:18 at 120 pounds to lead Shoreham-Wading River in League VI.

Jericho 110, Farmingdale 75: Jasper Du won the 100-meter buterfly in a personal-best time of 54.23 seconds, Anthony Istomin also set a personal record, winning the 100 freestyle in 51.03, and Alex Popescu won the 200 IM in a personal-best time of 2:04.01 to lead Jericho in Nassau Conference I. Sachem East 97, East Hampton 86: Max Ismailov won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:01.63 and the 500 freestyle in 5:22.92, and Anthony Stefanelli won the dive with a score of 258.67 for Sachem East in Suffolk League I.
