Molly Jarrett threw a perfect game with 17 strikeouts for Northport in a 10-0 win over Central Islip in Suffolk League II softball Thursday.

"She just threw her pitches and hit all her spots," Northport coach Krystle Canino said. "They couldn't get the bat on the ball."

Erin Joyce had a bases-clearing double during a seven-run top of the seventh and Bree Halpin had four hits and three RBIs for Northport (8-8).

Centereach 3, East Islip 1: Emma Agostini struck out eight and walked one in a four-hitter and Taylor Puma added a hit and an RBI for Centereach (9-7) in League II.

Islip 4, Kings Park 0: Tess Fala went 3-for-4 with three runs and two stolen bases, Faith Laudano went 3-for-3 and Erika Colangelo tossed a four-hitter with seven strikeouts to lead Islip (14-2) in League V. Kathleen Burns hit a two-out, two-run double in the third inning to give Islip a 2-0 lead.

Miller Place 1, Shoreham-Wading River 0: Jaqueline Gallagher threw a three-hitter with five strikeouts and Tori Carlo hit an RBI-double to score Allie Krumhold in the second for Miller Place (11-5) in League VI.

MacArthur 1, Long Beach 0: Kristen Brown struck out five in a two-hitter and Nicolette Moustouka scored on an error in the top of the second for MacArthur (12-2) in Nassau Conference AA-I.

Plainview JFK 2, Freeport 0: Anna Lin went 2-for-3, including an RBI double in the first inning to score Laura Silver for Plainview JFK (11-3) in Conference AA-II.


West Hempstead 4, Floral Park 3: Austin Slamowitz drove in Joe Palladino on a suicide squeeze in the bottom of the sixth for West Hempstead (3-14) in Nassau Conference A-IV. Palladino hit a three-run triple to tie the score at 3. Brandon Sherman struck out 12 in a complete game for the win.

East Rockaway 8, Carle Place 7: Ben Giliberti hit an RBI-single to score John Neckles in the top of the eighth to win it for East Rockaway (11-6) in Conference BC. Joe Lores struck out four in three scoreless of innings of relief.

Great Neck South 8, Hempstead 7: Harry Pravder's single scored Sam Nagelberg in the bottom of the seventh to win it for Great Neck South (12-3) in Countywide. Nagelberg, a senior pitcher, had singled in his first varsity at-bat.

Commack 7, Ward Melville 3: Ryan Heizman struck out five, scattered seven hits and gave up one earned run as Commack (13-5) won the Suffolk League I championship. Matt Guaglione went 1-for-3 with a triple, a sacrifice fly, and two RBIs.

Hills West 4, Hauppauge 3: Luke Stampfl went 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs and Dylan Mouzakes struck out seven and scattered eight hits as Hills West (16-3) clinched the Suffolk League IV title.


Baldwin 11, Oceanside 8: Austin Valenti had three goals and three assists to lead Baldwin (8-2) in Nassau Conference I. Valenti scored off a pass from Mylz Wilson to give the Bruins a 10-4 lead with 57 seconds left in the third. Tyler Warner added two goals and two assists, Mike Ainbinder and Gerard Lyle each had two goals and an assist, and Brett Dadiego made 17 saves.

West Babylon 14, Longwood 13: Justin Fitzpatrick (two goals, three assists) scored the winner with 53.7 seconds left to lift West Babylon (9-2) in Suffolk Division I. West Babylon's Andrew Schweigert (four goals, one assist) scored the tying goal with 2:23 left on an assist from Fitzpatrick.

Smithtown East 10, Sachem North 9: Vin Ferraro had four goal and two assists and Scott Scannell and Jimmy Tenbrink each had three goals and an assist for Smithtown East (9-5) in Division I.

Kellenberg 6, St. John the Baptist 5: Devin Casey's goal with 55 seconds left gave Kellenberg (4-3) a 6-4 lead in CHSAA. Joe Rizzotti added two goals and an assist and Tyler Steimel made eight saves as Kellenberg rallied from a 4-1 halftime deficit.

St. Mary's 13, St. Dominic 6: Tim Ahern had six goals and two assists and Nick Hutchinson had three goals and four assists for St. Mary's (9-3) in CHSAA.


Floral Park 19, Mepham 13: Jocelyn Penteck had five goals and five assists and Kayla Buzzeo and Jeanna Orfanos each added five goals for Floral Park (11-1), which clinched the Nassau Conference III title for the first time since 2000, coach Kristen Freiermuth told Newsday.

Bay Shore 17, Connetquot 5: Kyra Harney had three goals and three assists to lift Bay Shore (12-1) in Suffolk Division I. Kaitlyn Arnold and Caroline deLyra each had four goals and an assist in the win.

Shoreham-Wading River 13, Harborfields 9: Junior Alyssa Pearce scored a career-high five goals to lead Shoreham-Wading River (12-2) in Division II.

Sacred Heart 22, Holy Trinity 8: Becky Conto had three goals and one assist and Nina Corcoran added a goal and four assists for Sacred Heart (8-1) in CHSAA. Maggie Comiskey added two goals and two assists in the win.
