Kelly's penalty stroke wins for W. Islip
Keira Kelly scored on a penalty stroke as West Islgip (3-1) defeated Lindenhurst, 1-1 (1-0 in strokes) in Division II field hockey Monday. Diana Survilla tied it on an assist from Kate Beier with 2:16 left in regulation. Lindenhurst is 3-3.
West Babylon 2, Copiague 2 (3-0 in strokes): Kaitlin Kilcullen scored the first stroke and assisted on the tying goal to send it to overtime for West Babylon (1-3).
Ward Melville 3, Shoreham-WR 2: Liz Conley scored the winner with 5:58 left for Ward Melville (4-2) in non-league. Sophomore Maggie Vachris scored her first varsity goal to tie it with 25:52 to play. Boys volleyballFloral Park 3, Roslyn 2: Middle blocker Jahan Mirchandani recorded the final point of Game 5 on a block, and had six kills and 11 solo blocks to help lead Floral Park (4-1) in a 16-25, 28-26, 25-17, 20-25, 27-25 Conference IV win. Jason Cortapasso had 22 kills and seven digs. Pat Folan had 14 kills.
