Lazar hits winner for Floyd field hockey

Nicole Lazar scored the winner, her second goal, with 3:24 remaining, to lift Floyd over Port Jefferson, 3-2, Monday in Division III field hockey. Caitlyn Palladino also scored for the Colonials (1-5).

Lindenhurst 1, Bayport-Blue Point 0: Amber McCabe scored in penalty strokes for Lindenhurst (3-2) in Division II. Olivia DiPalma made three saves in the shutout.

West Babylon 2, North Babylon 1: Rachel Merdorella scored the go-ahead goal with 20 minutes left for West Babylon (2-5) in Division II.

East Islip 2, West Islip 0: Jackie Vogelsang and Alexa Martino each scored for East Islip (7-0) in Division II.
