Giana Cerrone hit the go-ahead grand slam in the top of the ninth inning to break the tie for Manhasset softball (10-0) and defeated North Shore, 21-13, Saturday in Nassau V. Cerrone hit for the cycle, going 5-for-7 with seven RBIs. Lily Kaye went 6-for-7 with six RBIs, and Ava Neylon went 6-for-6 with five runs. Taylor Silvia hit the tying home run in the bottom of the seventh for North Shore (6-2) to send the game to extra innings.

West Babylon 4, Deer Park 3: Storm Romano drove in Maria Fiume with a suicide squeeze in the top of the seventh inning to win the game for West Babylon (9-3) in non-league. Romano went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run, and Fiume went 2-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run. Giovanna Miranda hit a sacrifice fly to score Eliza Tymann and tie the score in the top of the sixth.

New Hyde Park 3, Sewanhaka 1: Kaitlyn Bell struck out 15 in seven innings and Kayden Erazo had the go-ahead RBI to lead New Hyde Park (6-6) in Nassau IV. Madison Demaio had 16 strikeouts for Sewanhaka (1-9).

Carle Place 4, Glen Cove 3: Marissa Nosovitch hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to lead Carle Place (5-5) in Nassau III. Alexa Misfud went 4-for-4 with four singles. Isabella Roman went 2-for-4 with a single and a triple.

Plainedge 2, Island Trees 0: Savannah Speicher allowed one hit with 12 strikeouts to lead Plainedge (8-4) in Nassau III. MaryRose Varricchio tagged up and scored on Meghan Moore’s pop-up to rightfield to give Plainedge the lead.

FRIDAY’S GAMES

Patchogue-Medford 6, Longwood 5: Abigail Eve hit a walk-off sacrifice fly to score Giuliana Atcosta in the bottom of the seventh inning for Patchogue-Medford (9-5) in Suffolk I. Atcosta, Isabel Briand and Ahria Treschl each went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

West Islip 5, Eastport-South Manor 1: Emily Bouros had 15 strikeouts to lead West Islip (9-3) in non-league. Bouros also drove in Juliet Aguanno and Camryn Mariano.

BASEBALL

Patchogue-Medford 10, Floyd 9: Frank Kentoffio hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning to lead Patchogue-Medford (6-8) in Suffolk I. Nick Cadolino tied the score with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh to send it to extra innings. Rob Melo struck out nine in six innings before giving way to Dylan Vanderschuyt, who pitched the final two innings for the win. Melo drew five walks, four of which were intentional.

Ward Melville 5, Lindenhurst 0: Nick Carnovale pitched 6 1⁄3 innings with 12 strikeouts and Jason Stiles struck out two for the first combined no-hitter in program history for Ward Melville (6-7) in Suffolk II.

FRIDAY’S GAMES

Chaminade 8, Archbishop Molloy 2: Peter Beisel’s three-run home run and Colin Brosnan’s solo home run highlighted a six-run second inning to lead Chaminade (7-9-1) in the CHSAA.

Eastport-South Manor 6, Westhampton 3: Noah Kirwin pitched 5 1⁄3 innings and Logan Walsh closed out the game, combining for a no-hitter to lead Eastport-South Manor (9-5) in Suffolk V.

BOYS LACROSSE

Massapequa 10, Seaford 9: Jack Garguilo scored the winner in overtime with six seconds left in lead Massapequa (8-5) in non-league. Michael Jannotte had 12 saves in the win.

Port Jefferson 13, West Babylon 10: Ryan Filippi scored the winning goal with 2:18 left in the fourth quarter to lead Port Jefferson (4-7) in Suffolk II. Filippi, Rowan Casey, Patrick Johnston, and Keegan Henry all finished with three goals each.

Chaminade 14, Wilton 3: Quinn Ball won 20 out of 21 faceoffs to lead Chaminade (7-2) in CHSAA. James Gillis racked up three goals and three assists and John Balsam contributed four goals.

Comsewogue 17, Briarcliff 1: Ryan Meyers racked up six goals and four assists to lead Comsewogue (7-4) in non-league play. Ryan Button added five goals and two assists, and Brayden Arias added three goals and three assists. Tyler Hrostowski and Vincent Cutaia combined to win all 22 faceoffs.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Smithtown East 11, Sachem East 8: Jenna Soto scored nine goals and dished out an assist to lead Smithtown East (5-5) in Suffolk I. Grace McDonald had 10 saves. Jenna Mehlinger and Alexis Savage each scored a goal.

FRIDAY’S GAMES

Mount Sinai 8, Shoreham-Wading River 7: Kyla Orlando scored the winning goal with 1:30 left in the fourth quarter to lead Mount Sinai (4-8) in Suffolk II. Orlando finished with two goals, eight draw controls and three ground balls. Alexa Spallina scored three goals and three assists.

Miller Place 18, Port Jefferson 4: Mirabella Altebrando scored three goals with eight assists to lead Miller Place (9-3) in Suffolk II.
