Sami Naples caught a 20-yard pass on fourth-and-10 to keep the scoring drive alive and set up Center Moriches (3-2) in the red zone. Ella Pascucci and Meghan Harker totaled six sacks.

BOYS LACROSSE

St. Dominic 15, Kennedy Catholic 9: Landon Silverstein won 21 of 26 faceoffs for St. Dominic in its CHSAA opener. JJ Ramsay had three goals and two assists. James Jenet added three goals, Aiden Cromwell and Brian Medley each had two goals and two assists and Michael Romanelli had two goals and one assist. Danny Higgins had two assists and caused six turnovers.

MONDAY’S GAME

Half Hollow Hills 11, Sachem East 8: Zach Marco scored four goals for Half Hollow Hills (5-0) in Suffolk I. James Bruno added three goals and Anthony Raio had two goals and two assists. Sal Santorno made 16 saves. Nico Ghicas won 14 of 23 faceoffs and added 12 ground balls. Carmine Jaconi had four goals and an assist for Sachem East (1-2).

GIRLS LACROSSE

Oceanside 8, Mepham 5: Kaylin Harrington scored two goals and added an assist for Oceanside (1-3) in Nassau II. Grace DiDominica tallied one goal and one assist. Leigha Zaman scored two goals. Brigid Mahoney tallied two assists. Jenna Dempsey and Ashley Felsberg scored two goals each for Mepham (1-2). Catherine Chow made seven saves.

Sayville 13, Miller Place 8: Olivia Desimone had three goals and two assists for Sayville (5-0) in Suffolk II. McKenna Farrell and Sophia Buffardi each added four points. Dylan McNamara scored two goals. Mirabella Altebrando had two goals and two assists for Miller Place (3-1).

Holy Trinity 1, Chaminade 0: Gabe Klarikaitis struck out nine in a one-hit shutout for Holy Trinity (3-1) in CHSAA. Andrew Heppner had an RBI single in the third. John Carroll struck out nine in 5 1 / 3 innings for Chaminade (1-3).
