1. LONG ISLAND LUTHERAN BOYS BASKETBALL

The Crusaders improved to 21-2 after defeating city-powerhouse Lincoln last week. LuHi continued to roll as senior Mical-Ryan Boyd scored 23 points, including the 1,000th of his career, in a 70-66 win over Lawrence. Tawayne Anderson had a layup with one second remaining as LuHi wrapped up the regular season with a 73-72 win over Bishop Loughlin.

2. WANTAGH WRESTLING

Wantagh won its third consecutive Nassau County team championship. The Warriors, had won 40 straight dual meets, and then crowned four wrestlers as county champions. Kyle Quinn, Vin Turano, Dan McDevitt and James Corbett were all titlists.

3. GARDEN CITY GIRLS TRACK

Garden City won their seventh straight county championship, reclaiming the Nassau Class A title. Sophomore Emma Gallagher won individual county championships in the 300 and 600 meters. She also was on the winning 4X800 meter relay.

4. WARD MELVILLE GIRLS FENCING

The Patriots won their 11th straight Long Island crown with a 14-3 win over Garden City. Junior epee Melanie Holl won the meet-clinching bout, 5-2. The win is the 174th in a row for the Patriots, giving them the second-longest winning of any sport in Long Island History.

5. AMITYVILLE BOYS BASKETBALL

Kavione Green and top-seeded Amityville had the week off after completing an unbeaten league season to earn a first-round bye. They'll host No. 5 Bayport-Blue Point in the Class A semifinals tonight.

6. LONG ISLAND LUTHERAN GIRLS BASKETBALL

Boogie Brozoski had 21 points and five assists and Katie Lavelle had 16 points, five rebounds and three steals in a 60-55 win over Bishop Loughlin to extend the Crusaders' winning streak to 11.

7. WARD MELVILLE BOYS FENCING

The Patriots won their sixth straight Long Island Championship with a 14-2 win over Great Neck South. Junior epee Tyler LaTourette won the meet-clinching bout, 5-4. The boys sabre of Travis Quinn, Robert Kent and Emmanuel Thomas, and foil team of Michael Antipas, Devon Reina and Matt Petrie did are unbeaten. The current win streak is 94 over the past six seasons.

8. EAST ISLIP BOYS BOWLING

The Redmen returned to prominence this season, winning their second Suffolk championship in three years and having four of its bowlers among the top 10 averages. Mike Kissel (231.2), Jacob Klein (230.3), Nick DeFazio (220.1) and Jon Cheadle (219.7) lead a deep and talented crew that will pursue a state title on March 2 in Syracuse.

9. NORTHPORT BOYS TRACK

Northport finished second in the New Balance 4X800 meter relay at the Millrose Games. The team, made up of Mike Branigan, David Hatch, Chris Odin, and James Dickinson ran a 7:51.01. They scored 82 points and also won the Suffolk Large Schools championship.

10. MIDDLE COUNTRY GIRLS BOWLING

The Cougarines won their first Suffolk title since 2010 and will compete for a state championship on March 2 in Syracuse. Middle Country is led by senior Melissa Sherwin, whose 223.2 average broke the Suffolk record, along with Kelly Skalacki (222.6), Amanda Tyrrell (203) and Brooke Kelsey (185.3).
