Ryan Mahon scored four goals as No. 11 Bethpage upset sixth-seeded Bellmore JFK, 7-2, in a Nassau Class B first-round boys lacrosse game on Friday.

Jessie House had three goals and an assist for Bethpage (13-3), which will face No. 3 Manhasset in a quarterfinal on Thursday, May 17 at Hofstra at 6:30.

Manhasset 15, Calhoun 3: Tommy Wenk had three goals and three assists and Kevin Overlander had a goal and won 12 out of 17 faceoffs for No. 3 Manhasset (11-4) in a Class B first-round game.

Carey 9, Hewlett 7: Nick Fasano made 21 saves and Mike Locicero scored five goals to lead No. 10 Carey (7-9) in the first round of the Nassau Class B playoffs. Carey plays No. 2 Wantagh in a quarterfinal on Thursday at 4.30 p.m. at Hofstra.

Glenn 20, Islip 6: Senior Tommy Forsberg scored a career-high 11 goals, breaking Glenn's single-game school record of nine goals, coach Kevin Lavey said. Frosberg added two assists and Mike Tufano chipped in two goals and six assists for Glenn (9-7) in Division II.

Hauppauge 16, Kings Park 8: Sam Llinares had five goals and two assists and finished the regular season with a Long Island-leading 100 points for Hauppauge (9-5) in Division II. Hauppauge's David Hwang stopped 14 of 16 shots before being substituted in the third quarter.

GIRLS LACROSSE

St. Dominic 16, St. Mary's 6: Julia LoRusso had three goals and four assists to lead St. Dominic (6-0) to its second consecutive undefeated regular season in CHSAA. St. Dominic clinched the number one seed in the Class A CHSAA tournament.

St. John the Baptist 18, Our Lady of Mercy 10: Kaitlyn Montalbano had seven goals and two assists and Morgan Jaycox had three goals and three assists to lead St. John the Baptist (5-5) in CHSAA.

Bay Shore 12, East Islip 6: Caroline deLyra had three goals and three assists and Kaitlyn Arnold added three goals for Bay Shore (13-1) in Suffolk Division I.

BASEBALL

Shoreham-Wading River 8, Amityville 0: Mike O'Reilly threw a one-hitter with 17 strikeouts and no walks to lead SWR (15-4) in League VII. One only ball reached the outfield as O'Reilly earned his seventh win of the season.

St. John the Baptist 9, Kellenberg 8: Keith Brodesser's base hit with one out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the tenth won it for SJB (10-6) in CHSAA. Kellenberg took an 8-7 lead with five runs in the seventh. Jordan McCauley's RBI bloop-single tied the score at 8 for St. John the Baptist. Jon Tenaglia went 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs for the Cougars.

SOFTBALL

East Rockaway 10, Friends Academy 5: Gianna Cilluffo struck out six in a complete game and added a two-run home run in the fourth inning to make it 7-3 for No. 1 East Rockaway (12-8) against No. 2 Friends in Game 1 of the best-of-three Nassau Class C Final at Mitchel Athletic Complex. Samantha Mantovani's two-out, two-run homer in the second inning gave East Rockaway the 4-3 lead in the third. Katie Seifert went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI in the win. Game 2 is on Monday at 4 p.m. at Mitchel.

East Islip 2, Smithtown 1: Alexa Martone's two-out base hit scored Shelby Heyward in the bottom of the eighth to win it for East Islip (13-3) in Suffolk League III. Courtney Blake (3-for-4) threw a two-hitter with seven strikeouts and Lindsey Zenk had a double and a triple in the win.

Eastport-South Manor 3, Harborfields 2: Michelle Amendola had a two-run homer and Nina Gaita added an RBI-single in the bottom of the sixth to lift Eastport-South Manor (13-3) in Suffolk League V. Kyra Konkel tossed a one-hitter, struck out nine and allowed one earned run for the win.

Kellenberg 6, Sacred Heart 0: Caitlin Kennedy threw a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts and two walks, Allie Pisciotta went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and Amanda Crimarco went 2-for-3 with a solo home run to lead Kellenberg (20-0) in CHSAA.
