Sam Martorella scored the winning goal, his third of the game, off a feed from Mike Gray with two minutes left in overtime Wednesday as Hewlett edged Lynbrook, 6-5, in Nassau Conference III boys lacrosse.

Reserve goalie Justin Isaacs made a save from close range in overtime to keep Hewlett (4-3) in the game.

GIRLS LACROSSE

St. John the Baptist 24, Holy Trinity 14: Sophomore Kaitlyn Montalbano had a career high in goals (9) and points (16) and sophomore Morgan Jaycox also had career highs in goals (7) and points (14) to lead St. John the Baptist (4-3) in CHSAA. softball

Clarke 2, Floral Park 1: Sarah Cornell struck out 11 in a three-hitter and Alyssa Colletti scored on a fielder's choice by Demi Shanahan in the top of the seventh to give Clarke (4-4) a 2-1 lead in Nassau Conference ABC-I. Colletti's run-scoring single tied the score at 1 in the seventh.

BOYS TRACK

Bellport 73, Huntington 68: Osei M'Bhaso won the 400-meter intermediate hurdles in 58.8 seconds and took second in the 110-meter high hurdles in a school-record time of 14.7 to lead Bellport (6-0) to the Suffolk League V championship. M'Bhaso's time in the 110 hurdles bested the previous record of 14.8 set by Sheldon Derenoncourt in 2011, according to Bellport coach Don Nelson.
