Sophomore Caelan McCabe scored a career-high 38 points to lead Smithtown Christian (2-6) to a 73-71 overtime win over Bridgehampton Tuesday in Suffolk League VIII boys basketball. With 12 seconds left in OT and the score tied at 71, McCabe made two free throws.

McCabe scored eight of his team's 10 overtime points. According to coach Dan Skaritka, his 38 points tied a school record.

Floyd 57, Sachem East 52: Anthony White scored all 19 of his points in the fourth quarter and two overtime periods, including a three with 2:24 left in the game, for Floyd (9-1) in League I. Devonte Dixon had 16 points and LaShon Washington added 11 points and eight rebounds.

Commack 65, Brentwood 64: John Stathis hit a layup off a pass from Dillon Hertel with seven seconds left to win it for Commack (6-4) in League I. Nick Arnold scored 13 of his career-high 32 points in the fourth for Commack.

Freeport 60, Massapequa 54: Jere Brown (21 points) went 6-for-6 from the foul line in the final two minutes to seal it for Freeport (11-3, 6-3) in Nassau Conference AA-I.

Roslyn 48, New Hyde Park 46: Mark Gjonlekaj had 16 points, 12 rebounds, seven blocks and five steals and Harris Silverstein had 12 of his 16 points in the second quarter for Roslyn (3-4) in Conference A-I.

Chaminade 62, St. Anthony's 57: John Patterson had 17 points and 15 rebounds and Pat Farrell added 18 points, five assists and five rebounds for Chaminade (3-3) in CHSAA. John Gallego had eight assists.

BOYS SWIMMING

Wantagh 94, Farmingdale 88: Mike Stewart, Shaun Charkowick, Mike Porreca and Jared Herrmann won the deciding 400-yard freestyle relay (3:42.01) for Wantagh (6-1). Andrew Capobianco won the 1-meter dive (235.72) and became the school's first seventh-grader to finish the regular season undefeated, Wantagh coach George Taylor said.
