Bernadette Mullane hit a three-run homer in the top of the sixth inning to give Holy Trinity (4-3) a 3-1 lead en route to a 3-2 softball win over St. John the Baptist Wednesday in CHSAA softball. Nicole Barbato threw a four-hitter, walked none and struck out nine.

Baldwin 15, Port Washington 0: Carly Mertens pitched five innings, allowing one hit and striking out six. She also went 3-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs for Baldwin (7-0) in Nassau Conference AA-III. Olivia Phillips went 3-for-3 with four runs and four RBIs, including a three-run homer.

Oyster Bay 13, Wheatley 3: Olivia Agostinello threw a four-hitter, and Dani Aarons and Joanna Sugar each scored three runs for Oyster Bay (4-4) in Conference BC. Danielle Agostinello added two RBIs.

Center Moriches 10, Stony Brook 2: Stephanie Ratti and Krystina Lauretta hit back-to-back home runs in the third, and Alexa Collins threw a two-hitter and struck out 12 for Center Moriches (4-2) in a Division IV crossover. Ratti had three hits and two runs.

BASEBALL

St. John the Baptist 4, Holy Trinity 2: Marc Torres hit a two-run, two-out, bases-loaded single to tie it at 2 in the seventh for SJB (4-1) in CHSAA. Ryan Lewis scored on a passed ball and Torres scored on an error. Chris Lemorocco struck out two for the save.

MacArthur 12, Port Washington 3: Nick Kaywood had three hits and five RBIs, Jesse Tozzo had three hits and four RBIs and Brett Ellers was 3-for-3 with three runs for MacArthur (2-0) in Conference AA-II.

BOYS GOLF

Jericho 8, Manhasset 1: Jericho's Matt Roberts shot a 2-over-par 38 on the front nine at Tam O'Shanter Country Club. Bennett Linsky shot a 2-under 34 for Manhasset.

Hewlett 9, Bellmore JFK 0:Hewlett's Taylor Heath shot a 5-over 40 at Woodmere CC.

GIRLS GOLF

St. John the Baptist 5, Mary Louis Academy 0: Stephanie Greco shot a 5-over 43 at Harbor Links for St. John the Baptist.

BOYS TRACK & FIELD

Connetquot 85, Ward Melville 56: Connetquot's John Stallworth won the long jump (19-4.74) and 400-meter hurdles (62.0) was second in the triple jump (39-11).

Westhampton 91, Shoreham-Wading River 50: Westhampton's Tyler LaMorte won the 400-meter hurdles (58.1), 110 hurdles (16.1), 100 (11.2) and anchored the 4x400 (3:43).

GIRLS TRACK & FIELD

Hampton Bays 88, Southampton 61: Shanna Heaney won the 1,500-meter in 5:16.9 and the 800 (2:31.6) to lead Hampton Bays.
