Alison Ricchiuti had seven of her 14 points in the fourth quarter as Herricks held off a Hicksville rally in a 39-34 win Monday in a Nassau Conference AA-II girls basketball game. Kim Givelechian had four points and 11 rebounds and Michelle Weinman added eight points for Herricks (3-0). Caitlyn Garger had eight of her 16 points in a 14-9 fourth quarter for Hicksville (1-3).

Northport 62, Connetquot 20:Chrystal Pope had 18 of her 20 points in the first half, shooting 8-for-10, to lead Northport (3-0) in League II. Pope added five assists and Megan Marinelli had nine points and six assists for the Tigers.

Wyandanch 57, Southampton 42: Lineker St. Hilaire had six of her 14 points in a 17-2 first quarter and Jalicia Robinson added five of her 14 in the quarter for Wyandanch (3-0) in Suffolk League VII. St. Hilaire added 10 rebounds and Lorenza Birt had 12 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the win. Paris Hodges' 13 points led Southampton.

Mercy 47, Port Jefferson 22: Amy Boden had 16 points, four rebounds and three steals to lead Mercy (2-1) in League VIII.

Waldorf 38, Lexington 22: Isabella Fraim had 13 points and seven rebounds for Waldorf (7-0) in IPPSAL.

Syosset 56, Sewanhaka 49: Senior Victoria Ciavarella scored a career-high 23 points, with three three-pointers to lead Syosset (4-5) in non-league. Ciavarella shot 8-for-13 from the field, including 5-for-8 in the second half.

BOYS BASKETBALL

East Meadow 49, Port Washington 37: Jeff Angelino had 16 points and 11 rebounds and Nick Slevin had 16 points to lead East Meadow (3-1) in Nassau Conference AA-II.

Sachem East 61, Commack 53: Dan Candemeres had 16 points and Randall Colson had 14 points to lead Sachem East (2-1) in Suffolk League I. Mark Nembhard scored 17 points for Commack.

Lindenhurst 49, Ward Melville 39: Stu Warren had 24 points and 16 rebounds and Rob Balkam 11 points to lead Lindenhurst (1-2) in League I. John Edmonds had 13 points and Gorkem Osman 10 for Ward Melville.

Lawrence Woodmere 87, Our Savior Lutheran 59: Jerome Hayden had 27 points and eight assists, Jamal Benn had 26 points and Trent Parrish 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead Lawrence Woodmere (3-0) in PSAA.Portledge 41, Kew Forest 38: Niya Highsmith scored six of his nine points in a 17-8 third quarter to erase a four-point, first-half deficit for Portledge (4-1) in IPPSAL.

GIRLS GYMNASTICS

Bethpage 158.85, Wantagh 144.35: Sarah Ciresi took first in the all-around with a 33.4, won the bars with an 8.6 and came in second on beam with an 8.5 to lead Bethpage. Lindsay Heney took second in the all-around with a 33.35 for Wantagh and was first on vault with an 8.3 and first on the floor with a 9.25.

BOYS SWIMMING

Hauppauge 97, Huntington 81: Leroy Farrell broke a school-record in the 1-meter dive with a 254.18 to lead Hauppauge in League II. Michael Saltzman won the 50-yard freestyle (24.39) and 100 freestyle (55.00) for Hauppauge.

Half Hollow Hills 92, Sachem North 86: Matthew DeBlasio won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:42.62, breaking a Half Hollow Hills school record of 1:43.40. Jared Siegel won the 100 butterfly in 56.41.
