Rohr's late goal leads Bethpage
Justin Rohr scored with eight seconds left in the game to give Bethpage a 5-4 boys lacrosse win over Friends Academy Saturday in the Fran McCall Memorial Tournament final. Eric Ritchie made 16 saves in the win and was the tournament MVP.
Half Hollow Hills East 12, Plainedge 11: Jesse Parker scored with 2:42 left in the fourth quarter to break a tie at 11 to win it for Hills East in non-league. Parker had five goals and two assists.
Garden City 12, Ward Melville 9: Dan Marino had 13 saves to lead Garden City in non-league. Devin Dwyer had four goals and two assists and Liam Kennedy and Ryan Norton each had three goals.
Westhampton 9, Half Hollow Hills West 7: Kevin Dean scored his third goal with 3:59 left in the game to give Westhampton an 8-6 lead in non-league. Casey Hickey had three goals and an assist and Scott Martin two goals and two assists for Westhampton.
Glenn 15, East Islip 10: Kenny Massa won 20 of 24 faceoffs and added two goals and three assists to lead Glenn in non-league. Tommy Forsberg added four goals.
Elmont 11, West Hempstead 3: Ben Odugbesan scored five goals and Nakai Carter went 12-for-13 on faceoffs for Elmont in non-league.
Floyd 8, Brentwood 1: Ed Hillkaewicz had one goal and four assists to lead Floyd in Division I. Frank Sommers had 13 saves in the win.
Baldwin 7, Hewlett 6: Mike Ainbender scored his fifth goal of the game with 17 seconds left in the third quarter to give Baldwin a 7-3 lead in non-league.
Cold Spring Harbor 8, Hicksville 2: Sean Doyle had two goals and two assists to lead Cold Spring Harbor in non-league. Kevin Lohan scored on a feed from Doyle with 4:37 left in the third quarter to give CSH a 4-2 lead, and Jordan Walter (two goals) scored with one second left in the quarter. Matt Bayern made 11 saves in the win.
Division 4, MacArthur 2: Ryan Gaspari made 11 saves to lead Division in the final of the Levittown Tournament.
Sayville 13, Connetquot 4: Senior Jake Sichenzia (eight goals, two assists) had a career-high 10 points to lead Sayville in non-league.
Bellmore JFK 10, Island Trees 3: Christopher Jones had five goals and an assist to lead Bellmore JFK in the consolation game of the Levittown Tournament.
Plainview JFK 6, Calhoun 2: Dan Desimone and Shane Lenahan had two goals each for Plainview JFK in the Fran McCall Tournament consolation.
Smithtown East 11, Rocky Point 3: Junior Brian Balkam had a career-high 17 saves and Matt O'Reilly had a goal and three assists for Smithtown East in non-league.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Herricks 15, Sewanhaka 14: Claire Lanzo scored on an assist from Lauren Bascelli with 1:18 left to give Herricks the win in Conference B-II. Bascelli scored on an assist from Amanda Carr to tie the score at 14 with three minutes left. Bascelli, a freshman, had six goals and one assist. Kristina Stacom had nine saves, including a save with seven seconds left to preserve the win.
New Hyde Park 20, Great Neck North 8: Kristen Lynch and Jillian Graziano each had six goals and five assists for NHP in Conference B-II. Kristen Korzevinski had four goals and one assist in the win.
Bethpage 13, Great Neck South 4: Erin Reilly had four goals for Bethpage in Conference B-II.
Roslyn 5, Jericho 4: Dana Steffen had three goals, including the winner with 2:20 left in the second half, for Roslyn in Conference B-III.
