James Pagano found Zachary Fishman for the winning goal with 1:07 left in the second overtime in Commack’s 14-13 win over Ward Melville in Suffolk I boys lacrosse on Tuesday.

Fishman had 10 goals and one assist and Pagano had two goals and four assists for Commack (8-7). Logan Ciniglio had five goals and one assist and Justin Vlacich made 11 saves for Ward Melville (6-9).

Lindenhurst 21, North Babylon 4: Ryan Murgatroyd had four goals and six assists as coach Tommy McCandless earned his 100th win at Lindenhurst. Joe Scavone had two goals and three assists. Hunter DeRonde and James Gorman each had three goals and an assist for Lindenhurst (9-7) in a Suffolk I win. Peter Banculli scored two goals for North Babylon (3-13).

MONDAY’S GAMES

Glen Cove 8, Valley Stream Central 7: Ben Conger-Keilbasa found Jax Giordano for the winning goal with 2:17 left in overtime to lead Glen Cove (12-3) in Nassau III. Conger-Keilbasa finished with two goals and five assists. Imran Paul had three goals for Valley Stream Central (2-13).

GIRLS LACROSSE

Miller Place 15, Mattituck 14: Lyla Coffey scored five goals, and Mirabella Altebrando had two goals and four assists to lead Miller Place in Suffolk II. Abigail LoNigro scored four goals, including the final two goals. Miller Place (7-7) trailed 12-9 entering the fourth quarter before scoring six fourth-quarter goals. Gianna Calise, Page Kellershon and Claire McKenzie all had three goals and an assist for Mattituck (7-8).

Kings Park 6, Rocky Point 5: Avery Brown scored four goals to lead Kings Park (10-4) in Suffolk II. Addison Kelly had two goals and two assists. Emily Clemens and Sophia Russo each had an assist. Lillian Wood had a goal and two assists for Rocky Point (10-5).

Smithtown West 9, Comsewogue 8: Ashley Mennella and Jolie Schiavo each had three goals and Kaitlyn Mennella added two goals to lead Smithtown West (12-2) in Suffolk II. Isabella Borruso made six saves for Comsewogue (6-8).

BASEBALL

Carle Place 2, East Rockaway 1: Patrick McCarthy went 1-for-3 with a triple and an RBI, and Roman Sandonato went 1-for-3 with a double to lead Carle Place (13-6) in Nassau B. Tommy Schoch went 1-for-2 with an RBI and Philip Bunt pitched a complete game, striking out 10 and giving up one earned run.

Seaford 11, North Shore 6: Dylan Alt went 3-for-3 with a two-run home run and three runs and Jason Berthel hit a two-run home run to lead Seaford (13-6) in Nassau A-II. Luke Walsh went 2-for-3 with a double, three runs and two RBIs.

MONDAY’S GAMES

Mineola 1, Lynbrook 0: Jesse Kostulias and Luke Martinez combined to throw a no-hitter to lead Mineola (11-7) in Nassau A-I. Kostulias struck out nine batters in five innings on 97 pitches, and Martinez struck out two in two frames on 31 pitches. Jayden Sleeper drove in Ryan Valente in the first inning for the game’s only run. Hayden Widman hit a pinch-hit double in the win.

For Lynbrook (7-11), Paolo Palleschi allowed only five hits and struck out two in a complete game.

SOFTBALL

Miller Place 7, Kings Park 3: Ava Zicchinelli struck out 12 and allowed two hits for Miller Place (16-2) in Suffolk VI. Brooke Callaghan hit a single and drove in two runs. Zicchinelli, Laney Vomero, Emily Lopez and Sadie Hoffmann each collected two hits. Delaney Schleider hit a double and drove in two runs. Kings Park is 14-6.

Kellenberg 5, Holy Trinity 0: Molly Silecchia allowed no runs, three hits and struck out nine to lead No. 2 seed Kellenberg past No. 3 Holy Trinity in Game 2 of the best-of-three CHSAA semifinals. Michaela Ressegger and Anna Anzalone each had a double, an RBI and a run. Lauren O’Brien had a double and a run. Kellenberg (18-6) will face the winner of St. Anthony’s against Sacred Heart in the CHSAA final on Tuesday, May 20.
