Cory Alexander matched his career high with 41 points, including 11 in a 21-8 fourth quarter, to propel Malverne in its 74-60 win over Oyster Bay Monday in Nassau Conference BC boys basketball.

The senior also had 10 rebounds for the Mules (14-0). Andre Berry scored 17 points and Anthony Moultre had 10. Joe Siringo scored 18 points for Oyster Bay.

East Meadow 50, MacArthur 46: Jeff Angelino (nine points, nine rebounds) got a steal and scored on a fast-break layup to give East Meadow (9-3) a 48-46 lead with 1:11 left in AA-II. Chris Melnyczuk scored on a driving layup with 10 seconds left. Rob Franzese scored five of his 18 points to lead the Jets on an 11-4 run in the fourth quarter.

Elmont 49, Long Beach 42: Anthony Elechi scored 14 of his 19 points in the 18-15 fourth quarter to lead Elmont (13-1) in Conference AA-III. He also had 12 rebounds. Jaymen Teemer scored 12 points for Long Beach.

Baldwin 68, Herricks 41: Kyle Richardson had 20 points to lead Baldwin (12-0) in AA-II. T'Ziah Wood-Smith had nine points and 15 rebounds. The Bruins clinched a top seed in the postseason and will host a playoff game at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Manhasset 77, Glen Cove 58: Alessandro Troia had 19 points to lead Manhasset (11-1) in A-III. John Maimone-Medwick scored 12 points, Gary Tibbs had nine points and 18 rebounds and Anthony Amitrano had eight points and nine assists.

Floral Park 67, West Hempstead 52: Shamoy McIntosh had 21 points and five assists and Pete Alloca had 19 points with seven rebounds for Floral Park (11-1) in A-III. Tyree Glascoe led West Hempstead with 13 points.

Wyandanch 65, Babylon 58: D'dante Freeman had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Wyandanch (6-5) in League VII. The Warriors clinched a playoff berth. Nahari Jenkins had 24 points for Babylon.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Great Neck South 51, Mepham 48: Daisy Xu's layup with 43 seconds left gave Great Neck South (4-10) a 49-48 lead in AA-III. Allison Finkel added free throws with 13 seconds remaining. Finkel had 23 points and 11 rebounds and Xu added nine points and 17 rebounds. Nicole Castaldo had 15 points for Mepham (12-2).

Port Washington 41, Plainview JFK 35: Hayley Kerr had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Port Washington in AA-II. Christina Leonard and Emily Rosenthal scored nine points each.

Valley Stream Central 59, Carey 38: Christine Rivera had 17 points and six assists to lead Valley Stream Central in AA-III. Kristina Rossello had eight points and 11 rebounds.

Lynbrook 64, Hewlett 51: Brooke Gerstman had 22 points and seven assists for Lynbrook (10-2) in Conference A-II. Sam DiSalvo had 23 points for Hewlett.

Stony Brook 49, Southold 41: Brannon Burke, who had 20 points, and Jessica Winston, who had 16, combined to go 8-for-10 from the free-throw line in overtime to propel Stony Brook (10-1) in League VIII. Southold's Sarah Smith finished with 20 points.

Southampton 65, Hampton Bays 44: Kesi Goree had 19 points and 13 rebounds for Southampton (5-4) in League VII. The Mariners clinched a playoff berth. Cassidy Guida and Paris Hodges each scored 17 points.
