Sean Szczotka scored the winning goal off an assist from Anthony Soto in the final five minutes of Mattituck’s 3-2 win over Center Moriches in Suffolk IX boys soccer on Friday. Szczotka added an assist. Cris Cuellar made seven saves and Andy Mancia and Connor Serl each scored a goal for Mattituck (6-1).
Alexander Rotunda and Joe Hiller each scored a goal and Hunter Bernhard made seven saves for Center Moriches (6-1).
Newfield 2, Lindenhurst 1: Derlis Aguilar scored two goals, including the winner with 15 minutes left to lead Newfield (3-3-1) in non-league. Stephen Ingrasilino and Diego Hernandez each added an assist and John Caso made five saves. Anthony Rodriguez scored off an assist from Gianni Lombardo and Ben Chodon made five saves for Lindenhurst (2-4).
