The Sacred Heart 400 freestyle relay team of Casey Francis, Megan Brady, Frances Warren and Emily Tan broke a league record, set by St. Anthony's in 2004, with a time of 3:33.81. Brady broke a league record in the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.00 and Francis finished the 200 IM in 2:06.88, another league record. Their efforts in the meet earned the Sacred heart teammates co-swimmers of the meet honors.
The championship for St. Anthony's is the first for the school since 2007. Sacred Heart came into the finals as the two-time defending CHSAA champion. "We're finally back on top," St. Anthony's coach Dan McBride said.
