Sam Mo led the way in Great Neck South's Nassau Division A boys swimming championship Saturday with wins in the 200-yard individual medley (1:53.80) and the 100 butterfly (50.81).

He also was part of the winning 200 freestyle relay (1:28.88) and 400 freestyle relay (3:17.72) as Great Neck South had 678 points.

The Great Neck South team of Sean Kim, Ben Ching, Marko Miocic and Noah Cheng won the 200 medley relay in 1:42.70. Junior Dan Mo, Sam's brother, won the 100 backstroke in 54.98.

Jericho took Division B with 703 points and was led by juniors Jasper Du, Alexander Popescu, and Anthony Istomin. Du won the 200 IM (2:03.38) and the 100 breaststroke (1:00.47), Popescu won the 200 freestyle (1:50.20) and Istomin won the 100 backstroke (56.11). All three were part of the winning 400 freestyle relay (3:25.85). Du and Istomin were part of the winning 200 medley relay (1:42.95).

Garden City, which took Division C with 641 points, had a swimmer or relay team finish in first place in seven of 12 events. Freshman Connor Brown won the 500 freestyle in 4:56.27 and also swam the lead leg in the winning 400 freestyle relay (3:25.89). Sophomore Joseph Lozano won the 200 IM in 1:57.93 and junior Matthew Finnegan won the 50 freestyle (22.90) and 100 freestyle (50.73).

The county championships will be at Nassau Aquatic Center, with the trials at 7 p.m. Friday and the finals at 1 p.m. Saturday. The diving championship will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the aquatic center at Eisenhower Park.
