Ari Tedeschi's single scored Nicole Miele in the bottom of the seventh inning, lifting Deer Park to a 6-5 win over Centereach in a Suffolk League III/IV crossover softball game Wednesday.

Lisa Bonacasa pitched 12/3 innings of scoreless relief and induced a game-ending 6-4-3 double play to pick up the win for Deer Park (4-1). Sam DeMarco had three hits and a run and Melissa McGibney and Marie Racano each went 2-for-4 with a run for Deer Park.Smithtown East 3, Smithtown West 2: Kelly DiPietrantonio's infield single scored Francesca Busa in the top of the eighth to give Smithtown East (4-3) the go-ahed run in a League III/IV crossover. DiPietrantonio's sacrifice fly in the sixth scored Holly Russell to tie it at 2. Busa went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run, and Corinne Vazac struck out two, walked three and gave up one earned run in a four-hitter.

Bellmore JFK 6, Calhoun 5: Jamie Demmett drove in Gabby Calia with a single in the bottom of the eighth to win it for Bellmore JFK (4-1 Nassau Conference AA-III). Carly Phea went 4-for-4 with a solo home run and Brittany Venezia had a two-run homer and three RBIs. Sam Finkel pitched three scoreless innings of relief for the win.

Seaford 1, Valley Stream South 0: Erika Nogan struck out six and walked two in a one-hitter to lead Seaford (6-1) in Conference ABC-I. Nogan lost her no-hitter on a leadoff single in the seventh. Gabby Nicholson scored Erica Fiscetti from third on a suicide squeeze in the second inning.

Carle Place 4, Bethpage 3: Leanna Iannicci had two hits, including a homer and a two-run single in the top of the seventh to give Carle Place (3-4) a 4-3 lead in Conference ABC-I. Alison Laga and Kaitlin Davis each went 1-for-3 for Carle Place.

St. John the Baptist 3, Our Lady of Mercy 1: Christine Bosco was 2-for-3 with a run and Kaitlin Pescitelli had a double and an RBI for St. John the Baptist (2-1 CHSAA). Erin Caputo struck out nine and walked four in a three-hitter.

BASEBALL

Upper Room 14, Portledge 0: Ramon Laureano tossed a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts to lead Upper Room (3-0) in IPPSAL. Eduardo Castro went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and Zach Uher hit a pair of doubles with three RBIs.

Waldorf 7, Solomon Schechter 6: Seaton White had a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth and Sam Iaccarino scored from first base on a throwing error in the seventh to win it for Waldorf (1-2) in IPPSAL. Max Geller's grand slam gave Solomon Schecter a 6-2 lead in the top of the sixth. Christian Longoria struck out eight in four innings and Sean Proctor pitched the last three innings and earned the victory.Southampton 4, Mattituck 0: Ricky Wesnofske struck out 10 and walked one in a three-hitter and went 1-for-2 with a run to lead Southampton (2-0) in League VII. Chris Pike went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a double and Vincent Abbate went 1-for-3 with a stolen base, a double and a run.St. Dominic 6, Holy Trinity 4: Spencer Bilello hit a two-run double and Joe Tracz followed with a solo homer in the fifth to put the Bayhawks (4-1 CHSAA) ahead 4-0. Rob Galligan allowed two hits in five innings and struck out four.

BOYS TRACK

Sachem North 74, Bay Shore 67: Brian Wersan, Chris Weilbacher, Colin Eberhardt and Connor Dolan won the 4x800-meter relay in 8:52.4 and Joe Johnson, Tim Randazzo, Wersan and Davon Christopher won the 4x400 in 3:30.5 as Sachem North overcame an eight-point deficit heading into the final three events. Darius Cooper, Bonaficio Aguila, Christopher Lawrence and Davon Lawrence won the 4x100 in :50.3 after Bay Shore was disqualified for passing outside the zone.

GIRLS TRACK

Garden City 100, New Hyde Park 52, Division 22, Jericho 15: Michelle Rotondo won the 400-meter hurdles (61.8 seconds) and the high jump (5 feet, 2 inches) to lead Garden City in Conference II. Emily Menges won the 200 meters in :25.1.
