Devlin Ann Ammendola of Farmingdale won the consolation championship in singles, 8-4, on the second-to-last day of competition Sunday at the girls tennis state championships at the Eastside Racquet Club in upstate Manlius.

On the schedule for Monday is the singles championship, featuring last year's third-place finisher, third-seeded Hannah Camhi of Syosset, against last year's runner-up, top-seeded Jamie Loeb of Westchester County.

Another anticipated match concerning local players will be for fourth place in doubles. That match is between South Side's Deana Davoudiasl and Rachel Shenker, the current Nassau champions, and Westhampton Beach's Jamie Hann and Diana Vamvakitis, the current Suffolk champions.
