Gregg Sarra picks Long Island's top high school teams:

1. WANTAGH WRESTLING

The Warriors won their qualifying tournament in dominant fashion last weekend. Wantagh had 21 place winners, including eight champions. Dan McDevitt pinned all four of his opponents in 10:06 as the Warriors finished the season with a record of 22-0.

2. EAST ISLIP GIRLS BOWLING

The East Islip girls finished the regular season with a 1,044 average, the best of any team on Long Island, boys or girls. The Redmen dominated the Suffolk Tournament to advance to the state championships. Lena Sorrentino rolled a 1,447 series in the tournament.

3. WARD MELVILLE GIRLS FENCING

Ward Melville continues on the fourth-longest winning streak in LI sports history as the Patriots beat Commack, 22-5. Kacy Charpin went 2-0 in sabre as the streak went to 155.

4. ST. ANTHONY'S HOCKEY

The Friars clinched the top seed in the CHSHL throughout the postseason. They have one league game left after beating Iona Prep at Nassau Coliseum, 7-1, on Saturday.

5. GREAT NECK SOUTH BOYS SWIMMING

The Rebels defeated Jericho, 122-64, to complete their fourth straight undefeated season. Great Neck South also won the Division A Championship with a score of 678, and Sam Mo led the way with wins in the 200-yard individual medley (1:53.80) and the 100-yard butterfly (50.81)

6. UNIONDALE BOYS BASKETBALL

Shaquille Mosley had 35 points and 11 assists in a 91-45 win over Oceanside. The Knights margin of victory in their last four wins have been 36, 27, 35, 31 as they continue to establish themselves as the team to beat in Long Island.

7. CONNETQUOT/SAYVILLE HOCKEY

The T-Birds close the season and have to win and allow fewer than nine goals to clinch first place throughout the playoffs.It shouldn't be a problem for the league's best defensive team.

8. LONG ISLAND LUTHERAN BOYS BASKETBALL

The Crusaders are cruising, rattling off three one-sided victories last week as they gear up for their annual March run. The promotion of quick freshman point guard Chris Atkinson (six assists Saturday) into the rotation adds even more depth.

9. BAY SHORE GIRLS TRACK

The Marauders made it 11 Suffolk County large-school titles in 12 years with a come-from-behind win Friday night at Suffolk CC-Brentwood. Triple jumpers Anisa Toppin, Alexis Barrau, and Kelsey Palomino helped key the Bay Shore victory.

10. PLAINVIEW JFK GMYNASITICS

Plainview JFK's Melissa Kropf scored a 9.3 on floor and a 9.4 on bars in the Nassau Conference I championship against Bethpage Wednesday. The Plainview girls make their debut in the BIG 10.
