Bayla Goldberg scored 36.65 in the all-around competition to lead Smithtown to a 173.95-165.15 win over Bay Shore/Islip in Suffolk I girls gymnastics Tuesday. For Smithtown (6-0), Goldberg won the uneven bars with a 9.2, the balance beam with a 9.4 and the floor exercise with a 9.45. Amanda Burnes won the vault with an 8.85. Burnes placed second on the beam (9.275) and the bars (8.2). Mary Saul scored season-bests on both the beam (9.2) and the floor (9.1). Brooke Dunn also had a season-high 9.2 on the floor. For Bay Shore/Islip (5-2), Nicolette Ferraro scored a 34.4 in the all-around.

BOYS SOCCER

Locust Valley 2, North Shore 2: Lucas Mejia scored the game-tying goal with 15 minutes left off a pass from Stefano Linardos for Locust Valley (10-0-2). Jayden Detres added a goal and Oliver Dostalek made five saves. Emil Samuels had a goal and an assist and Henry Cardoza added a goal for North Shore (6-2-3) in the Nassau A-II draw.

FIELD HOCKEY

Half Hollow Hills 1, Connetquot 0: With 8:09 remaining in the game, Lindsay Egan scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Ashley Pellicone to lead Half Hollow Hills (4-9) in Suffolk I. Ava Ray made seven saves to hold the shutout. Addison Iocca made five saves for Connetquot (4-8).

Bayport-Blue Point 1, Comsewogue 0: Camryn Bruckner scored the game-winning goal in the second quarter to lead Bayport-Blue Point (12-0) in Suffolk II. Grace Peyman made eight saves for Comsewogue (8-6).

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

Whitman 24, Half Hollow Hills 31: In the 2.5-mile run, Chase Devine placed second overall in 13 minutes, 51 seconds to lead Whitman (4-1) in Suffolk II. Alex Bass took third place in 14:11 to help earn the win. For Half Hollow Hills (3-2), Dylan Herath won the individual race in 13:28.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

North Babylon 23, East Islip 32: Saige Smith narrowly edged out Victoria Scandale in the 3-mile run to finish in 19 minutes, 27 seconds and lead North Babylon (4-1) in Suffolk IV. Scandale finished in 19:30 for East Islip (3-2).

GIRLS SOCCER

Commack 1, Patchogue-Medford 1: With 22 minutes left, Addison Nemeth redirected a pass from Mackenzie Hughes into the net to tie the match for Patchogue-Medford (7-6-1). Marie Cataldo made six saves for the Raiders. For Commack (11-1-1), Bree Mender scored six minutes into the game and Rebecca Gillon made four saves in the Suffolk I draw.
