Vinny Valela singled in Joe Wilson from second base with one out in the sixth inning for the go-ahead run to lift Lindenhurst over Bay Shore, 5-4, in League II baseball.

Alex Genao's RBI double knocked in Dan DiBlasi from second earlier in the inning to tie the game at 4 for the Bulldogs (12-1). Skon's diving catch at shortstop with the tying run on base in the seventh preserved the lead. Jimmy Briggs went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Skon added a two-run double in the third.

Wheatley 4, East Rockaway 3: Vinnie Manno hit a two-run single to give Wheatley (7-8) a 4-1 lead in the third inning in Conference BC. Mike Haig scattered eight hits and struck out four in six innings and was relieved by Max Miller, who earned the save.

Bethpage 6, Division 5: Robbie Cafiero went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Gavin Stewart allowed three earned runs and struck out 10 in six innings as Bethpage (6-7) held on in Conference A-I.Wantagh 9, New Hyde Park 2: Mike Rumel hit a grad slam in the bottom of the fourth to break a scoreless tie and lead Wantagh (10-3) in Conference A-I. Chris Rom had eight strikeouts and Mike Addeo was 3-for-4 with a two-run homer in the sixth. It was the 300th career victory for Keith Sachs, who has coached Wantagh since 1994.

South Side 8, Garden City 0: Kevin Mulcahy threw a four-hitter with no walks and seven strikeouts to lead South Side (3-10) in Conference A-I. Brett Cohen went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, Will Bermel was 2-for-4 with two runs and James Howard was 2-for-3 with an RBI.SOFTBALLDivision 5, Island Trees 4: Leighann White hit a two-run double with one out in the bottom of the seventh to cap a four-run rally for Division (6-8) in ABC-II. Bethpage 5, Clarke 3: Katie Ferraro's RBI double in the sixth gave Bethpage a 4-3 lead in ABC-II. Kristen Goldstein was 1-for-3 with two RBIs for Bethpage (6-9). Nicole Ginsberg had a single, two walks and scored twice.

North Shore 1, Manhasset 0: Christine Castiglione scored on Ellie Hoffman's bunt in the top of the first for the game's only run as Manhasset improved to 12-3 in Conference ABC-III. Hanna Hacker threw five shutout innings, allowing four hits with seven strikeouts.

Seaford 7, Carle Place 0: Erika Nogan pitched a one-hitter with no walks and struck out eight for Seaford (14-1) in ABC-I. Lindsay Montemarano was 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs and Victoria Wink added two RBIs.

BOYS VOLLEYBALLLevittown District 3, Valley Stream South 2:James Mahoney had 25 kills to lead Levittown District (9-6), 22-25, 25-19, 14-24, 25-19, 25-23.

Plainedge 3, Mepham 1:D.J. Gillen had eight kills and three blocks to lead Plainedge, 21-25, 25-18, 25-10, 25-14. Mitch Warren added five kills and 11 assists.BOYS TRACKLong Beach 104, Roslyn 75.5, Carey 31, Division 3: Kierre Jefferson won the 200-meter run in 23.4 to lead Long Beach (8-5) in Conference II. Jefferson, a senior, broke the school record in the high jump with a 5-10. The previous record was held by Taj Guerrier, who jumped 5-8 in 2009. Jefferson, Jaymen Teemer, Josh Trone and Lamont Maxwell broke a school record on the 4 x 100 with a time of 43.9. The previous record was set in 2008, according to coach Greg Milone.

MacArthur 96.5, Wantagh 62, Jericho 56, Mepham 38.5: Matt Granata won the 400 (51.6), the 200 (22.4) and was part of the winning 4 x 100 relay (44.0) to lead MacArthur (12-1), which finished with its best record in the program's history.

GIRLS TRACKHewlett 94, Lynbrook 60, Valley Stream South 23: Samantha Locke won the pole vault (9-3) and the 100 hurdles (17.2) to lead Hewlett (13-0), which clinched the Conference III title. Vanessa Pierre won the long jump (16-1), triple jump (336) and anchored the winning 4 x 100 relay team.

North Babylon 4, West Babylon 3: Peter DeBlasi defeated Andrew Kiss, 7-5, 6-4, in first singles to lead North Babylon (6-5) in League IV. Steve Christopher defeated Gulen Merigliano, 7-5, 6-3 in third singles, and Dillon Kelly and Nick Giarratano defeated Matt Menke and Nick Vercelletto, 6-1, 6-0, in third doubles.
