ESM Falls to Victor in Division II Finals

 The Eastport-South Manor boys fell Section V representative Victor High School, 25-18, 25-12, 25-27, 25-19, in the inaugural Division II State Finals at Cicero-North Syracuse High School. 

Ryan Brisson had 26 assists and Andrew Wysocki had 12 kills for ESM. Victor was led by Long Beach State recruit Dan Glamack, who had 32 kills.  

Eastport struggled to keep up from the beginning, falling behind 15-10 in the first and never cutting the deficit. Trailing 18-12, Glamack authored a picture-perfect kill that dropped right in front of libero Connor Vogt, who positioned himself perfectly near the back line.   

That turned out to be the microcosm for Eastport’s day:  Even when they played well, Victor just was a little better.
