Things couldn't have gone any better for Glenn at the NYSPHSAA girls volleyball championships at the Glens Falls Civic Center Saturday.
The Knights (22-2) finished a perfect 6-0 in Class B pool play and will face Pelham for the state championship Sunday at 2 p.m.
It's Glenn's first trip to the state championship round since 2007.
That was also Glenn's last championship season.
Glenn had little trouble getting through pool play with two victories each over Johnstown, Pelham and Marcellus.
The Knights easily dispatched Johnstown by scores of 25-3 and 25-11.
They then defeated Pelham 25-15 and 25-15 before completing its pool play victories with 25-12 and 25-19 wins over Marcellus.
Glenn coach Kevin Harrington attributed much of his team's solid effort to its senior leadership, specifically the play of outside hitter Melissa Rigo, middle hitter Allison McKenna and libero Lauren Gordon.
"We're much more experienced," said Harrington, who starts five seniors.
