The state tournament MVP was the Sharks' leading scorer, posting more than 200 kills for the state champions. He was at his best during the postseason, averaging 16.3 kills per match.
Nassau player of the year: Daniel Kim, Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK, Outside Hitter, Sr.

He was the Nassau champions' go-to scorer, also excelling in serving and defense. He had 16 kills in the county title match.

The Hawks' playmaker was named MVP of the Class A playoffs, thanks in part to his 31 assists in the county championship game.
Jason Koehler, Lindenhurst, Middle Hitter, Jr.

Koehler put up prolific numbers for a middle hitter, racking up 231 kills, 45 blocks, 102 digs and 21 aces.
Sean Hannett, Sachem North, Right Side Hitter, Sr.

Hannett provided both veteran leadership and skilled play on the outside for Sachem North, and was instrumental in helping the Flaming Arrows complete a fourth straight unbeaten regular season.
Alec Helford, Massapequa, Setter, Sr.

Helford continued to assert himself as one of the top passers on the island, earning first-team All-LI honors for the second consecutive year while leading the Chiefs to the county title match.
Josh Levine, Bellmore JFK, Setter, Sr.

He had 806 assists and averaged over 12 assists per set to lead Bellmore JFK to the Class B county title. He also had 86 kills, 111 digs, and 38 aces.
Matt Lilley, Ward Melville, Setter, Sr.

Springfield College-bound, he stuffed the stat sheet for the Patriots, recording 365 assists and 77 kills, while adding 38 digs, 35 aces and 30 blocks.
Chris Parker, Northport, Outside Hitter, Sr.

He was an offensive force for the Tigers, recording 240 kills to help them reach the county semifinals. He also had 85 digs and 35 aces.

The powerful hitter was instrumental in leading the Bulls to their first county and Long Island Championships. He had 15 kills in the county final and 20 in the Long Island Championship, and was named to the all-state tournament team.
