Long Island player of the year: Alex Stein, Ward Melville, Sr.

Alex Stein set school records and earned Under Armour All-American recognition putting the finishing touches on an impressive resume.
She had 454 kills and a .582 hitting percentage to set school marks. Stein's standout season earned her an All-America honorable mention. Stein will play at William & Mary next season, and she said her goal is to help the team win in any capacity.
Nassau player of the year: Jamie Smith, Massapequa, Jr.

Jamie Smith filled the stat sheet, tallying 221 assists, 136 kills and 66 digs, while also converting 92 percent of her serves. The versatile setter was the key cog for the Chiefs during their 16th straight Nassau Class AA title season.
Haley Anderson, Smithtown East, Jr.

Haley Anderson burst onto the scene, averaging a double-double of 14 kills and 15 digs per match.
Kate Calabro, Kellenberg, Sr.

Kate Calabro helped her team to a state championship. She had 328 kills, 203 digs and 34 aces en route to being named the NSCHGAA Player of the Year.
Grace Cergol, Glenn, Sr.

Grace Cergol was a two-way star, tallying 360 kills and 285 digs, which earned her a spot on the Suffolk County Elite 8 team.
Mackenzie Cole, Connetquot, Soph.

Mackenzie Cole made 450 digs and was the best libero on Long Island because of her footwork, instincts and ball control.
Stephanie Cornwell, Kings Park, Sr.

Stephanie Cornwell, a setter, recorded school records with 92 aces and a serve percentage of 98 percent, according to coach Ed Manly.
Sophie Dandola, Seaford, Jr.

Sophie Dandola led the Vikings with 313 kills and chipped in with 110 blocks on defense.
Gabby Darnaby, Newfield, Jr.

After a stellar campaign in which she had 569 kills, 238 digs and 137 blocks, Gabby Darnaby will play at Canisius College next season.

Nicole Migliozzi won the Class AA state championship finals MVP for her performance against Pine Bush in the state title match.
