Nolan sparks Sayville's comeback victory

On the brink of having his team's season come to an end after trailing two games to none, Tyler Nolan had 33 kills and three service aces to rally No. 4 Sayville to a 21-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-23 win over No. 5 Hauppauge Thursday in an outbracket game in Suffolk Division II boys volleyball. Kevin O'Neil had 12 kills and eight aces and D.J. Kelley added 40 assists. Sayville (8-7) will play at top-seeded Eastport-South Manor at 6 p.m. Monday in the semifinals.Floral Park 3, Jericho 0: David Morris had 15 assists and 10 kills, Jason Cortapaso had 13 kills, Jahan Michandani had nine kills and seven blocks and Jason Wasserman added 20 digs to lead No. 1 Floral Park (14-0) to a 25-21, 25-22, 25-22 win over No. 4 Jericho in the semifinals of the Nassau Class B playoffs. Bellmore JFK 3, Bethpage 0: Brian O'Gorman had 17 kills and six blocks, Dylan Simonson had 27 digs and six aces, Ben Hirschler had eight kills and 10 digs and Ben Canarick had eight kills and four blocks for No. 2 Bellmore JFK (13-0) in a 25-14, 25-20, 25-23 win over No. 3 Bethpage in a Nassau Class B semifinal. West Islip 3, Sachem North 0: Erin Byrnes had 12 kills, three blocks and three aces, Taylor Kordich had seven kills and Jill Felix added 18 assists to lead No. 5 West Islip (14-4) in a 25-23, 25-12, 25-17 win over No. 12 Sachem North in the first round of the Suffolk Class AA playoffs.
