Travis Wahl scored two goals in the last six seconds of the fourth to give Farmingdale (1-2) a 5-4 come-from-behind win over Lynbrook in non-league boys lacrosse Tuesday. Wahl tied it at 4 with six seconds left on an assist from Tom Kennedy. He then won the ensuing faceoff, ran toward the net and scored the winning goal with 0.3 seconds to go. Wahl won eight of nine faceoffs.

Uniondale 9, Mepham 8:Deon Ellis scored the winner with 43 seconds left in overtime to lead Uniondale (1-2) in non-league. The Knights tied the game on Antoine Williams' goal (four goals, two assists) with 38 seconds left in regulation.

West Babylon 7, Half Hollow Hills West 6: Alex McDermott scored the winner with 2:36 left in the second overtime and Tyler Hartman had 24 saves, including four in the overtime periods, to lead West Babylon (1-0) in Division I.

BASEBALL

Smithtown West 4, Newfield 3: Dan Taliercio struck out a batter with the bases loaded to seal it for Smithtown West (1-0) in League III. John Spirito hit a two-out single, stole second, advanced on the throw and scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the top of the seventh. In the sixth, Kyle O'Rourke hit a two-out pinch-hit RBI triple and scored on an error to tie it at 3.

Longwood 9, Ward Melville 8: Will Dougherty hit a walk-off single and Eloy Benson hit a one-out RBI single to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh as Longwood (1-1) rallied in League I. Kris Killackey pitched 22/3 innings of scoreless relief.

Floyd 13, Sachem North 12: Nick Russo hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth.

New Hyde Park 17, Great Neck North 3: Nicholas Perrone threw five no-hit innings, struck out four and walked one for NHP in the non-league season opener.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Huntington 9, Deer Park 8: Alyssa Amorison scored the winning goal off Alexis Thompson's feed with 52 seconds left in the Division II opener. Mackenzie Maloney tied the score at 8 with 1:38 left for Huntington, which outscored Deer Park 5-1 in the second half.

St. John the Baptist 20, Friends Academy 8: Sophomore Kaitlyn Montalbano scored a career-high eight goals for SJB (2-0) in non-league.

BOYS TENNIS

Islip 4, Connetquot 3: Dan Sliwowski and Omar Ulloa beat John Marino and Brendan Sullivan at first doubles, 6-3, 6-7 (7), 6-3, for Islip in League III.

West Babylon 4, Babylon 3: Isaiah and Elijah McCall beat Brendan Laing and Jed Dale, 7-5, 6-7 (4), 10-8, at second doubles for West Babylon (2-1) in League IV.
