Al Montoya receives 1st start against Kings
Recently-acquired Al Montoya will make his first start since being traded to the Islanders last week.
Montoya, 26, has made two relief appearances since joining the Islanders--during last Sunday's 7-6 OT win over the Sabres and Thursday in the team's 6-3 loss to the Bruins.
He'll have a little more time to prepare for tonight's contest against the Kings.
"I thought he's played pretty well coming in for us in the games he played," coach Jack Capuano said. "He deserves an opportunity."
Said Montoya:
"It's just a start, being ready. Going out there and giving this team a chance. We've got a good team coming in and I just want to do all I can to help this team."

The Islanders will dress seven defensemen for warmup tonight and make a game-time decision about who comes out.
