Assistant GM Ryan Jankowski and Islanders split ways
Conspicuously absent from the first day of prospect camp at NVMC today was assistant general manager/director of amateur scouting Ryan Jankowski.
Multiple sources have confirmed an earlier report that Jankowski will part ways with the Islanders. According to one source, Jankowski met with Garth Snow yesterday, when he learned that his contract would not be renewed.
And here's the surprising part...
According to another source, the Islanders are not planning on replacing Jankowski's position; instead, general manager Garth Snow will take on more responsibility with their scouting operations.
