Countdown: Top 10 Islanders of all-time
Newsday's Arthur Staple counts down the 10 best players to put on the skates for the New York Islanders.
2. BRYAN TROTTIER | Center, 1975-90
Inducted into Hall of Fame in 1997, Trottier came to the team as a feisty little 19-year-old and left as the all-time leader in games, assists and points. He may not have been the captain or the big-time goal scorer, but he was the most consistent player on the championship teams and was still a point-per-game player into his 30s.
