Billy Jaffe out as Islanders TV analyst
An MSG Network official confirmed to Newsday a published report that Islanders TV analyst Billy Jaffe's contract would not be renewed and released the following statement:
"MSG wishes Billy luck in future endeavors. The network will name a new Islanders TV analyst in the near future."
Jaffe, who worked in the booth with veteran play-by-play man Howie Rose, joined the MSG broadcast as Islanders TV analyst in 2006 and won a New York Emmy in 2008 for his work on MSG Plus. He also formerly worked as an analyst for the Atlanta Thrashers.
