Doug Weight's contract to be finalized soon

 Although 39-year-old captain Doug Weight agreed to terms with the Islanders "in essence" earlier this summer, his contract has yet to be registered.

That should be resolved soon according to his agent Steve Bartlett.

Although there was an initial delay to work out the bonus structure of his contract, the terms have recently become finalized and the deal should be made official within the next couple of days.
