Frans Nielsen out until next week

 As I tweeted last night, injured center Frans Nielsen is out until late next week with the groin strain suffered in last Monday's 5-2 win over the Flames in Calgary.

Although it appeared Nielsen was ready to come off the injured reserve and play Thursday, he left the ice early during the morning skater after feeling a pinch and has yet to practice since. Needless to stay, he remained on injured reserve.

Nielsen has five goals and 14 assists in 37 games for the Islanders this season.
