Gervais suffered fractured cheekbone Fri from punch
Defenseman Bruno Gervais immediately went after New Jersey's Colin White after the Devils defenseman levied a big hit against P.A. Parenteau along the boards.
Right idea, but unfortunate result.
Gervais suffered a fractured left cheekbone on the play. He'll begin working out tomorrow then resume skating on Wednesday--although he will practice with a cage attached to his helmet--to deem whether he's fit to play against the Rangers Thursday.
