Huberdeau visiting LI today; Couturier/Hamilton tomorrow, Murphy Wednesday
Top-3 draft prospect Jonathan Huberdeau is visiting the Islanders today, the Islanders confirmed to Newsday.
Huberdeau had 43 goals and 62 assists in 67 games for the Memorial Cup-winning Saint John Sea Dogs this season.
It is unlikely that the 6-foot-1 center, projected to go third overall, will be available to the Islanders at No. 5, but the team wanted to bring him in for a pre-draft visit regardless
Drummondville center Sean Couturier is coming to Long Island Tuesday, his agent confirmed as is Niagara defenseman Dougie Hamilton. Kitchener Rangers defenseman Ryan Murphy is visiting Wednesday.
