Islanders beat Thrashers 6-5 in third straight shootout
Even after blowing two three-goal leads, the Islanders top the Thrashers 6-5 in their third straight shootout.
Frans Nielsen nets the decisive goal to give the Isles a 2-1 edge in the shootout, resorting to his signature backhanded move.
"I'm surprised they haven't figured that out yet," Nielsen joked after the game.
Nielsen was not joking, however, when he chastised the Islanders for allowing the Thrashers to escape with a point. Read more here.
