Islanders shuffle coaching staff
Islanders assistant coach Brent Thompson is returning to be the head coach of the team’s AHL affiliate in Bridgeport, the same job he held for the 2011-12 season.
Scott Pellerin, the Sound Tigers coach the past two seasons, was not retained.
The Isles are searching for a replacement for Thompson on Jack Capuano’s staff.
