Islanders sign Rhett Rakhshani
Rhett Rakhshani will report to Bridgeport today after signing a two-year entry-level deal with the Islanders yesterday.
Rakhshani, a 4th-round pick in the 2006 draft, was captain of University of Denver's Men's Hockey team this year,
He had 21 goals and 29 assists in 41 games for the Pioneers before their early exit from the NCAA tournament (they were upset in the first round by RIT).
Rakhshani will likely make his AHL debut tomorrow against Portland.
