The Islanders kick off their first season in Brooklyn on Sept. 21 with a split-squad preseason game against the Flyers, the first of three preseason games at Barclays Center in an eight-game slate before the 2015-16 regular season begins.

The Isles also play at Barclays Center on Sept. 23 against the Devils and Sept. 28 against the Capitals. All three games are 7 p.m. starts.

The team's five preseason road dates: a split-squad visit to Allentown, Pennsylvania, to face the Flyers on Sept. 21, split-squad games in Newark and Philadelphia against the Devils and Flyers on Sept. 25, a date with the Carolina Hurricanes in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on Sept. 26 and the preseason finale Oct. 4 in Washington against the Caps.

That last game will mark a return to the Verizon Center, where the Isles' 2015 playoff run ended with a 2-1 loss in Game 7 of the opening round to the Capitals.

The regular season will kick off the following week. The Islanders will be releasing the date and opponent for its home opener on Wednesday, with the full season schedule to be released on Thursday.
