Isles at Canadiens
Isles fall 5-3 to Habs at Bell Centre
Game recap in blog post above.
Isles trail 3-1 after second period
Tomas Plekanec picks the top left corner to reclaim the Habs two-goal lead. Wisniewski was on the receiving end of a nasty hit along the boards from Moen, who puzzlingly only gets a 2-minute boarding minor.
After laying face-down on the ice for several minutes, Wisniewski skated off on his own and returned to the bench.
Isles will begin the third period with :41 seconds left of PP time remaining on Spacek's high-stick on Blake Comeau
Isles trail 2-1 after first period
The Canadiens took a 2-0 first-period lead with a deflection in front from Mathieu Darche at 13:19 and a shorthanded goal from Travis Moen at 17:54, but the Islanders cut the lead in half with less than a minute to play in the period with James Wisniewski's slapshot from just inside the blue line.
Good goaltending on both sides of the ice; Islanders outshot 14-7
