Isles drop first Rookie game to Bruins 5-2
Thanks to Jordan Caron's hat trick the Islanders fell in their first rookie game to the Bruins prospects 5--2.
After the game, coach Scott Gordon said he felt that overall, the team lacked jump. Although they had it in spurts, they lacked consistency. He surmised that may be a product of too much thinking, given the info overload they've had over the past two days.
Gordon did say, however, that the Islanders had good offensive performances from Nino, Ullstrom and Rhett Rakhshani.
Niederreiter said his first goal as an Islander "felt great" but was ultimately disappointed in the end result. "Tough Loss."
