The Islanders have extended qualifying offers to six players--Josh Bailey, Blake Comeau, Micheal Haley, Jesse Joensuu, Dylan Reese and Ty Wishart-- the team confirmed Sunday.

Conspicuously absent from that list is defenseman Jack Hillen, who is a restricted free agent as well. Hillen, 25, has spent the past three seasons with the Islanders. He finished with four goals and 18 assists in 64 games with the Islanders this season.

The qualifying offer deadline is not until tomorrow at 5 p.m. but Hillen is prepared to enter July 1 as an unrestricted free agent.

Saturday the Islanders parted ways with Hillen's fellow blue-liner, 26-year-old Bruno Gervais, who was traded to Tampa Bay for future considerations.
