Isles' lineup for game vs. Flames
Here's the group that's headed to Calgary later today for Tuesday's game with the Flames:
Forwards
Blake Comeau-Marty Reasoner-Rhett Rakhshani
Jay Pandolfo-Trevor Frischmon-Tim Wallace
Trevor Gillies-Ryan Strome-Kirill Kabanov
Justin Dibenedetto-David Ullstrom-Micheal Haley
Defensemen
Ty Wishart-Dylan Reese
Matt Donovan-Milan Jurcina
Calvin de Haan-Steve Staios
Goaltenders
Evgeni Nabokov, Mikko Koskinen
That is a group of 21, not 20, so we'll wait to see which player isn't going. Preseason debuts for Rakhshani (concussion), Reasoner (knee) and Kabanov (wrist), along with the first game action for Nabokov and Koskinen.
It's also the third game for Staios and Pandolfo, the tryouts. They're in to boost the required number of NHL veterans (has to be eight) and also to continue their bids to win spots. Wallace had a hard-nosed game on Saturday and he's in the mix for one of the final forward spots.
De Haan had a solid game in Boston on Friday and needs to build off it. The Islanders likely won't send anyone out of their camp after the game; Bridgeport has no preseason games, so the groups will likely be split into AHL and NHL squads on Wednesday.
