Isles look for first road win vs. Pitt
UPDATE: Rick DiPietro will start in goal tonight vs. Pittsburgh
While the Islanders look for their first road win of the season, the 1-3 Penguins look for their first win at home, the new Consol Energy Center.
The Penguins were without defenseman Brooks Orpik and Zybnek Michalek in Wednesday's loss to Toronto, although Orpik is day-to-day with a groin strain so he could be available tonight.
As for the Islanders, they'll be out the usual suspects--Streit, Okposo, and Schremp-- as well as Tavares (concussion) and Wisniewski (suspension).
However, both Tavares and Wisniewski should be available tomorrow vs. the Avalanche at Nassau Coliseum.
Entering tonight's game, the Penguins have won eight straight games at home against the Islanders ( albeit "home" was Mellon Arena and the Penguins are currently 0-3 at Consol Energy Center), but Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma said tonight will be no gimme against a "tenacious" Islanders team
"It's a young group of players, but there is some skill there and they have this identity of being a hard-working team," the former Isles assistant said. "That's what we saw last year and that's what we expect tonight."
****Sidney Crosby has 18 goals and 43 assists in 31 career games vs. the Islanders
