The Islanders’ visit to the Panthers on Tuesday night will be noteworthy not only because it marks the 13th and final game of their season-opening road stretch. It also will be the first of six games this season that will not be shown on traditional cable or over-the-air television.

Only subscribers to the digital streaming services ESPN+ or Hulu will be able to access the game, part of the emphasis on streaming that is a key element of ESPN’s new media rights deal with the NHL.

Bob Wischusen will call the game, with Brian Boucher and A.J. Mleczko as the analysts.

The Rangers have three digital exclusives, the first of which is Dec. 14 at Colorado.
