Isles prospects attend development camp
As first-round pick Ryan Strome heads back to his native Toronto after last week's Hockey Canada development camp, fellow Islanders prospects Scott Mayfield and Robbie Russo are in Lake Placid, NY for the U.S. version
Both defensemen are among a group of 44 top American prospects vying for a spot on the U.S. National Junior Team.
The camp, which features both intrasquad scrimmages and international games, culminates August 13 with a final match between USA and Sweden. Fellow 2011 Islanders draftee Johan Sundstrom is featured on Sweden's roster.
