Isles release training camp schedule
Earlier today the Islanders announced their 2011 training camp schedule, which features two rookie games against the Boston Bruins and five preseason games. Only one of those exhibition contests will be played at Nassau Coliseum-- Saturday, September 24 against the Devils at 7 p.m.
Rookies report to camp September 10; the full squad will be on the ice on September 17.
Both rookie games against the Bruins--Monday, September 12 and Tuesday, September 15--will be held at Nassau Coliseum, but only Tuesday's match will be open to he public. Season ticket holders get in free; the general public "will have a $10 donation cost for admission," according to the team's website. Money raised will be donated to the Islanders Children's Foundation.
This is the second straight year the Islanders will hold camp on Long Island.
